Seether frontman Shaun Morgan rises 4-1 on Billboard‘s Hard Rock Songwriters chart (dated Aug. 1), leading for the first time thanks to two Seether tracks on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart that he solely wrote.

Seether’s “Dangerous,” which Morgan also solely produced, rises 12-10 on Hot Hard Rock Songs, with 1.9 million airplay audience impressions, 340,000 U.S. streams and 1,000 downloads sold in the tracking week, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

Plus, Seether’s “Bruised and Bloodied,” which Morgan also solely wrote and produced, debuts at No. 15.

Morgan is just the second person to lead the Hard Rock Songwriters chart, as the list launched with the edition dated June 13. He succeeds Godsmack frontman Sully Erna, who reigned for seven weeks and now places at No. 2.

Thanks to his production work on “Dangerous” and “Bruised and Bloodied,” Morgan also rises 8-2 on the Hard Rock Producers chart. Kevin Churko logs a third week at No. 1, as Five Finger Death Punch’s “A Little Bit Off” (which he co-produced with FFDP) spends its fourth week at No. 1 on Hot Hard Rock Songs and Cory Marks’ “Outlaws & Outsiders,” featuring Travis Tritt, Ivan Moody and Mick Mars (solely produced by Churko), ranks at No. 13.

Seether has a nearly two-decades-long career on Billboard‘s charts. The group has notched six No. 1s, among 22 top 10s, on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart and three leaders on Hard Rock Albums.

The weekly Hard Rock Songwriters and Hard Rock Producers charts are based on total points accrued by a songwriter and producer, respectively, for each attributed song that appears on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart; As with Billboard‘s yearly recaps, multiple writers or producers split points for each song equally (and the dividing of points will lead to occasional ties on rankings).
