Suicides due to forced adoptions.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Warwickshire County Council,

Can you please confirm within the last 5 years the following.

1 How many parents have died within 5 years of losing their children to forced adoption,
2. Can you please provide a breakdown of deaths ie suicide, murder, accident, illness etc.
3. How many adoptions were voluntary and how many were classed as forced adoptions.
4. How and when are the children informed of their real parents deaths.

I await your prompt reply.

Yours faithfully,

Paul Snowdon

Dear Warwickshire County Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Warwickshire County Council's handling of my FOI request 'Suicides due to forced adoptions.'.

You state that you do not recognise the term 'forced adoption' as there is no such thing in law, lets break this down using the an English dictionary,

'Forced'
adj
1. Imposed by force, involuntary: The parents were forced to hand over the child to the social worker.
2. An act not undertaken willingly: The victim was forced to open the safe

'Adoption'
1. To take on legal responsibilities as parent of (a child that is not one's biological child)

Whether you choose to not recognise what is now becoming a popular term is not my problem.

you use the excuse that you do not record information to determine whether the real parents believed an adoption was forced. To put it bluntly if the child's natural parents were fighting to keep their child in court would that not show a clear belief that what the state was doing to them was FORCED?

As you can see from my other requests other councils keep a log of those that have died after having contact with SS. why do you not want to publish said data, are the numbers shockingly high.

i await your response hopefully containing a either the answers to my questions or a suitable response as to why you don't want to release this information,

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/s...
