The technical training provided by Case IH, part of CNH - Case New Holland Group, for the benefit of several Somali farmers was finally launched on 14th September 2022.

This activity is a milestone result of the partnership dealership agreement between Gaalooge Cooperative, which is hosting the training, and CNH, signed in July 2021 and officially celebrated in November 2021. This agreement was facilitated by UNIDO ITPO Italy and the EDU (Enterprise Development Units) network supported by UNIDO Somalia in the framework of the project “Agro-technology development for economic growth in South and Central Somalia”, financed by the UN Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and implemented by UNIDO. 

This initiative will allow a technology upgrade in the Somali agro-industry, through the diffusion of proper knowledge in using cutting-edge machineries useful to increase the productivity of soils and the competitivity of local farmers on national and international markets.
