Just when you were thinking Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's relationship couldn't get any more adorable. During the couple's first televised interview with the BBC today, Harry revealed that Meghan has successfully won over the hardest-to-please members of the royal family—Queen Elizabeth's infamous corgis.
"The corgis took to you straight away!" Harry marvelled to Meghan during the interview. "I've spent the last 33 years being barked at, and this one [Meghan] walks in, absolutely nothing." And as any doggo owner knows, that stamp of approval is a big, big deal.
It's no real surprise that the corgis took to Meghan, who's an avowed dog lover and owns two adorable rescue pups of her own: a beagle named Guy and a Labrador-shepherd mix called Bogart.
During the same portion of the interview, Meghan spoke about her experience of meeting the Queen for the first time. "It's incredible, to be able to meet her through [Harry's] lens," she said. "Not just with his honor and respect for her as the monarch, but the love that he has for her as his grandmother. All of those layers have been so important to me... She's an incredible woman."
Harry and Meghan announced their engagement this morning and a wedding is scheduled to take place some time in spring of 2018. Per an official statement this morning, "His Royal Highness and Ms Markle became engaged in London earlier this month. Prince Harry has informed Her Majesty The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince Harry has also sought and received the blessing of Ms Markle's parents."
