Police in Liverpool believe the killer of nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel had been sent by an organised crime gang to murder a rival.

Olivia was shot in the chest five weeks ago when the hitman, who was chasing a convicted drug dealer and burglar, fired twice into her family home.

The target — Joseph Nee, 35 — had barged into the house to escape from the attacker, in a street described by detectives as a “shooting gallery” because it lacked exit points.
