St Saviour's Church Schools

Green Day

Today was 'Green Day'.

Children took part in fun activities leanring about the environment and what we can do to make it better!

The Infant School voted on which animal they would most like to adopt. Tigers and Penguins are in the running so far but we will keep you updated when the final tally comes in. We have created surveys on how we travel to school. We have planted peas and had discussions about the environment.

At the Junior School, the children chose to donate money raised today to Greenpeace and have completed some fun activities and important discussions including:

Year 3 have been focussing on ‘the plastic problem’

Year 4 have focussed on palm oil, using the book, ‘There’s a Rangtan in my Bedroom’ as a stimulus

Year 5 have been designing sustainable homes for the future – we saw these in praise assembly today

Year 6 shared the work of Mohammed Rezwan and his floating education system
