Firefighter

Our firefighters make up the majority of our workforce. Their role is varied, attending emergency incidents involving fires, road traffic collisions, water rescue, entrapments and more. Equally important is the prevention and protection work aiming to prevent fires before they happen by supporting and engaging with local communities and businesses.

On-call Firefighter

On-call firefighters are members of the community who are paid to respond to emergencies. They do not staff the fire station 24 hours a day like full-time firefighters on the whole-time duty system.

Support staff

Behind our firefighter crew is our talented team of support staff who provide the Service with a range of expertise and skills in professional, technical, planning and administrative support services.
