OUR STORY

Origin

Soundcaster Studios opened in 2017 as a project recording studio for owners Gary Cox and Terry Doyle to put together ongoing song and solo album development. They wanted to create a custom space, defined by the finest recording and mixing gear they could find.

Once they had it set up and they started making records, they realised they had something special on their hands. The recordings were coming together in such a wonderful way that they decided to open it up for other musicians and have been working with local Irish artists ever since.

Background

Terry has studied music production in Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles, USA and worked there with some of the world’s best engineers and producers such as Warren Huart (Aerosmith, The Fray, James Blunt), Cameron Webb (Motörhead, Megadeath), Shelly Yakus (John Lennon, The Ramones, Tom Petty) and Ulrich Wilde (Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Limp Bizkit).

Gary focuses on the studio’s gear, sourcing some of the most sought after instruments and equipment to achieve the sound they aim for - natural and amazing!

Musical Genres

Music recorded at Soundcaster Studios have been in many genres such as jazz, rock, pop, rap and instrumental and they are set up to record anything from a simple voice over to a full band playing live off the floor.
