Are you or someone you know passionate about cooking and dreaming of a culinary career?

Sonoma Family Meal’s next Culinary Job Training Program starts June 17th. This nine-week journey offers a unique chance to receive hands-on training from professional chefs right here in our community. Class is scheduled Monday-Friday from 9am-2:30pm at our community kitchen, 1370A Redwood Way, Petaluma, CA 94954.

5/23 Mexican Cooking Class with Chef Zaira Rojas (5-7PM)

Join Chef Zaira Rojas, a Culinary Job Training alumni and Sonoma Family Meal Chef, who hails from the vibrant city of Tijuana, Mexico, for an enriching Mexican cooking class experience.

Learn the art of crafting authentic guacamole, salsa macha, sopes, as well as indulge in the creation of traditional and innovative dishes like carne asada and mushroom al pastor. We will pair the savory recipes with refreshing beverages including hibiscus agua fresca and fresh made piña coladas.

Our grassroots organization employs one female chef, Heather Ames, our intrepid, talented and wonderful cooker of food. She is a mastermind of “Big Cooking” for a crowd and has a passion for Star Wars.
