Joanna McNamara

Mrs Jo McNamara

Senior Lecturer and Admission Tutor

Summary

I work as a Senior Lecturer within the Radiotherapy & Oncology team, which sits within Allied Health. I also work within the recruitment team for the College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences.

About

I graduated as a Therapeutic Radiographer in 2004 from Sheffield Hallam University and worked clinically at Leicester Royal Infirmary and Weston Park Hospital.

I had many areas of interest as a Therapeutic Radiographer (Femcare, ultrasound, radiographer review and research) and I particularly enjoyed educating and supporting students education within the clinical environment.

I started as Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University in 2009 and undertook the role of the Placement Link with Weston Park Hospital.

During my time at Sheffield Hallam I have been privileged to work within a variety of roles, including Interprofessional Education AHP Lead, Course Leader, Clinical Lead and Assessment Lead.

I am currently the Admissions Lead for the Pre-registration courses and also support the college with recruitment.

I am the Placement Link Tutor (PLT) at Weston Park Hospital.
