New Corona Related Guidelines Go into Effect Tonight (March 25, ...

After a lengthy and heated meeting until the wee hours of the morning, ministers approved imposing further restrictions to try and stem the rapid increase in the number of Corona virus cases. 

• All outdoor exercise will be banned. 
• One cannot stroll more than 100 meters from one’s home.
• New restrictions on restaurants will allow them to continue with home delivery only (no take away).
• Public transportation will be very limited.  (reduced by 75%) 
• Travel in taxis will be restricted to one passenger who must sit in the back (unless one needs to accompany another person for a medical reason).  The windows must be kept open. 
• All Shuls are to close temporarily. Minyanim of ten will be allowed outside only and near one’s home.
• All men’s Mikvaot to remain closed. 
• Appointments need to be made for Mikva Tahara with a limit of five in any Mikva.
• All stores are to be closed except food stores and pharmacies and certain stores that provide household goods.
• Online shopping with delivery service is permitted.  The goods must be left outside the house. 
  
• Britot, weddings and funerals are to be limited to 10 people and must be in an open area. 
• Workplaces that follow the strict guidelines of the MoH can continue to operate.  They are required to take the temperature of their employees before entering the workplace.  Anyone who does not feel well or has a fever of 38 or higher will be sent home.
• Emergency veterinary care is permitted.
• Elementary school Online Learning will resume today after an agreement was made with the Teachers’ union.

The rules are to go into effect at 5 pm tonight for at least 7 days. 

The restrictions will be strictly enforced.

Defense Minister, Naftali Bennet said that if we do all this then within a few weeks we will gradually be able to release the economy and allow people to go back to work and be ahead of the Corona virus.
