Winner: Education Initiative of the Year
SCESY came out winner at the South Yorkshire Sustainability Awards 2022 for Education Initiative of the Year. This is wonderful recognition for all the work we have put in as a team raising awareness about Climate Education with schools in South Yorkshire. The event held in September at Magna was witness to some of the great work on Sustainability being done in our Region. Anne and Toby attended the event on our behalf.
South Yorkshire Schools' Climate Conference 2024
Our fourth annual conference is scheduled to take place on the 29th February 2024 and is open to all primary and secondary schools in South Yorkshire to join for free.
We are pleased to feature a wide variety of local organisations and prominent individuals doing amazing work in climate change, education and related fields. The conference will also highlight some of the fantastic initiatives being taken by students in the region.
The programme will include:
- A talk by Dr Rachael Alexander on looking after your wellbeing
- Climate Fresk
- Chance to visit a range of climate organisation stalls to discuss climate action ideas
- A musical performance
- Student Q and A
