This one-year module will help you improve your writing in English, through language study, practice and individual feedback. You’ll also get 20 credits towards your degree.
The syllabus follows your studies closely, focusing on issues such as:
- Getting the most out of your reading
- Understanding essay questions
- Producing bibliographies
- Writing essays

This one-year module will help postgraduate and research students to refine their written English skills.
It focuses on the language and skills involved in academic tasks, such as:
- Organising essays and dissertations
- Taking a critical approach
- Developing arguments
