LGBT+ Film Night in Redbridge

May 13, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for the first of our new regular film screenings in Ilford, in partnership with Redbridge Libraries!  For this first event, we are going to show the award-winning 120 BPM – shown in the York Room.

After the screening we will have a guest speaker!  2019 Diversity Award Nominee Roland Chesters will speak about HIV activism and the book he has written about his experience of living with HIV.  Steph Mallas, CEO of George House Trust, a Manchester-based HIV charity, said of the book “Ripples gives a unique insight into the emotional roller coaster of a HIV diagnosis and its life-long impact. Reading the personal experiences was haunting and reinforces the importance of having flexible HIV support services to meet the differing needs of each person and not making the assumption that one size fits all. Definitely one of my top recommended reads.”

For more information about these new regular film nights, please email Massimo Nardi.

The next film nights will be June the 10th (“Pride”) and July the 8th (“My Beautiful Laundrette”).
