Lost Words: Beyond the Page will soon let mobile gamers experience its emotional tale when it launches on May 9th

PID Games and Sketchbook Games have just dropped the official release date for Lost Words: Beyond the Page, the atmospheric puzzle platforming adventure on iOS and Android. Coming to mobile on May 9th, the game tasks players with solving puzzles to discover more about the narrative across both 2D and 3D visuals.

In Lost Words: Beyond the Page, players will be able to wield the power of words to switch up the environment around them, adding a whole new layer of gameplay to the platforming genre. The gorgeous watercolour-style aesthetics add to the melancholy vibe of the game, which complements the narrative masterfully crafted by popular games writer Rhianna Pratchett.

As players live through the diary entries of a young girl named Izzy, they can piece together the story behind the fantasy land they're in, as well as take on the role of a new guardian when it comes to keeping the land of Estoria and its inhabitants safe. Players with a penchant for all the feels will likely find plenty to unpack here, as the game promises to reveal an emotional tale when Izzy weaves a story for her sick Gran.
