Telephone consultation helpline for parents and carers: Statemented Pupils

In light of the current Covid-19 situation, and the significant impact this is having upon the education of all children and young people, as well as their families, the NPT Inclusion Service is offering a telephone consultation helpline, which may help support you and your child at home.

This consultation helpline, will be available to parents / carers of children and young people who have a Statement of Special Educational Needs, whether they attend a mainstream school or a specialist learning support centre or special school.

School Based Counselling

Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak and the need to adhere to Government guidelines in relation to self- isolation and managing staff sickness, the School Based Counselling Service has been operating at reduced capacity and has, up until now been working with current clients only. However, in addition to this, we are now pleased to be able to offer the following services:

 

Primary School Call Back Service for Parents

The purpose of this service is to support parents in supporting the emotional wellbeing of their children during this time.

You will speak to a School Based Counsellor who will be able to guide you in supporting the emotional wellbeing of your child.

Secondary School Pupils Telephone Counselling Service

School Staff Mental Health, Wellbeing and Consultation Call Back Service

In recognition of the increased pressure on school staff at this difficult time the School Based Counselling Service is pleased to be able to offer a wellbeing and support call back service for school staff. This service has two purposes;

  1. To support the emotional wellbeing of school staff. This is available to both staff working in our hubs and those working or self isolating at home.
  2. To provide consultation for staff who may be supporting children and young people presenting with complex difficulties either at the hubs or in the community.
