Organisations only need to register once to be a stakeholder at NICE. However, each time you want to comment on a particular guideline or quality standard, you'll need to register a contact from your organisation for that topic. A maximum of 2 people can be listed as contacts from each organisation for each guideline or quality standard.
The registration process
1. Check to see if your organisation is already registered
Each piece of guidance has a list of registered stakeholders.
You can find the list of registered stakeholders:
- on the project documents tab, for guidance that's in development
- on the history tab, for published guidance.
2. Make sure your organisation is eligible
You should read our information about who can register as a stakeholder before you continue.
Make sure you have permission from your organisation to register.
3. Set up a NICE account
4. Choose the topic your organisation is interested in

For consultations already in progress
- If a consultation has already started, you can still register.
- If a consultation is due to close, register and submit your comments. We will let you know if your application to register as a stakeholder has been successful.
- You should register your interest as early as possible.
Who is registered from my organisation?
To find out who is registered for a particular guideline email guidelines@nice.org.uk. For quality standards, email qualitystandards@nice.org.uk.

How can individuals get involved?
We accept comments from individuals who do not represent a registered stakeholder organisation. These will be considered, but will not receive a formal response. Therefore, we would encourage you to submit your comments through a registered stakeholder organisation.
