Saturday, April 27 (Rain Date May 4) from 11 am to 2 pm
(museum open until 3 pm)
Open Cockpit
A bus will take you about a mile to see 18 aircraft on Martin State Airport. Tour the inside of a Martin made airliner of the 1950's. See inside many of the aircraft from the 1930s to the 1990s.
Open Cockpit Fees - $8.00 for adults
$5.00 for children under 12
Last bus leaves museum at 1:45 and leaves the flightline at 2:15

Airport Communications
Participate as a family in a workshop where communications, ground to pilot and pilot to air traffic control, will be discussed and practiced.

Come to Martin State Airport and enjoy the festival village of vendors and food trucks, special educational displays, historic aircrafts, and the museum.

Bus Trip to The National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center
Hosted by Veteran Astronaut Dr. Thomas Jones
Upon arrival a guided tour will be scheduled featuring a commentary about theSpace Shuttle Discovery, the status of Flak Bait, etc.
Promptly at 8:30 am the bus will leave the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum in Middle River and travel to the Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Va.
Promptly at 2:30 pm the bus will leave the Center to return to GLMMAM in Middle River with arrival about 4:30 pm.
Tickets are $60 for members and $80 for non-members of GLMMAM

As a family, participate in a presentation on the four forces of flight and how a plane flies, assemble a model of an airliner, make a stick airplane, and visit the flight line of 18 historic aircraft.

"It's Rocket Science"
As a family, participate in a mini workshop on rockets (Sessions at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm), make a paper rocket and launch it, look at the rocket exhibits in the museum, and visit our flight line of 18 historic aircraft.
