Unveiling the Effects of Digital Media on Affective Processes


Our minds and bodies are in constant search for emotional cues. When we interact using applications like Zoom, Slack, or Miro, those cues can take many different forms. 

How do these tools' capabilities shape the affective processes that normally structure interpersonal interaction during collaboration? 

This is one of the questions I am passionate about. Employing laboratory experiments, qualitative interviews, and social media analytics, my research uncovers the hidden layer of collaborative communication: our emotions.
