About us

Business Sweden helps Swedish companies grow global sales and international companies invest and expand in Sweden. For Swedish companies, we provide strategic advice, sales execution and operational support to help them grow their international revenues. For international companies we ensure that they can rely on our knowledge, experience and extensive network to identify new business opportunities and achieve an accelerated return on investment. We have achieved our expertise by being present in the world's 50 most promising markets for over 40 years, at the scene, helping to close the deal. The Middle East and Africa region includes six of the ten fastest growing economies in the world and has an average growth of more than 3%. Swedish companies that prepare well for expansion have a lot to gain in this area. It is a dynamic region with great potential. Thanks to the accelerated urbanization, business segments like ICT, transport and infrastructure, health, energy, and mining are particularly promising with MEA. Swedish companies are often well positioned due to a high demand of technological innovation. The biggest obstacles are rather regulatory frameworks, challenging business environments, and corporate strategies. To succeed, it is also vital to understand local consumer needs and identify the best communication channels to reach the local target audience. From our five offices in The Middle East and Africa, we transform complexity into sales growth throughout the whole region.

  • Interested in exploring the business opportunities in Morocco's water sector?   In the face of escalating global water scarcity, Morocco emerges as a critical focal point, as it grapples with severe water shortages. Morocco is the 22nd most water stressed country in the world. By 2050, the country will lose 30% of its water resources annually (Moroccan Ministry of Equipment and Water). The water shortages currently faced in Morocco and the region not only necessitate critical measures to mitigate its impact on communities but also calls for innovative solutions and sustainable water management practices. Water technologies play a pivotal role in addressing global water challenges, and Swedish companies are well-positioned to contribute. By leveraging innovation and technology, and by collaborating with local government bodies and international infrastructure firms, Swedish companies can provide solutions for efficient water use and wastewater treatment. In this report, Business Sweden delves into the Morocco's water crisis, explores governmental initiatives, and underscores the pivotal role Swedish companies can play in providing innovative and sustainable water solutions for all.
