Young Professionals Board in the local business to business paper! How do you attract and retain young talent for our region? That is the task for the board of Drecht Cities Young Professionals. Board members Bart Ettema (Oceanco) and Richard Kunst (MAAT | Transport | Techniek | Heftrucks | Logistiek | E-Mobility | Truckparq 24/7) talk about the programme's challenges, events and ambassadorship in an interview with the Drecht Cities' regional business-to-business newspaper. Chairman Bart: 'The programme allows you to look into the kitchen of other companies. It is an enrichment of your daily work!' Board member Richard: 'Anyone who likes it and is employed by a Drechtsteden company can apply, from people just starting out to employed people up to 35 years old.'

Winner DCYP Lego Challenge received his prize @ ZIE 2024! 🏆 The ZIE 2024 fair in the Van Nelle Fabriek has ended for Drecht Cities Young Professionals. During the day, Young Professionals from South Holland could participate in a Lego Challenge. Rui Horstink from Leiden emerged as the winner. He has his own workshop called Makerspacement, in de innovation breeding ground PLNT Leiden, where Rui supports startups with the hardware of their prototypes. He received a Lego Technic Airbus rescue helicopter today. 🚁 Congratulations Rui! We would also like to thank all other Young Professionals for visiting our stand. Meet river cruise shipyard Scylla AG, business owner of the new Young Professionals Challenge! Scylla, member of DCYP, is a shipping company which operates forty cruising vessels on the rivers of Europe. Their fleet consists of vessels ranging from 80 to 135 meters which can host up to 220 guests and necessary crew. Of course, the ships have facilities for guests, such as restaurants, swimming pools and rooms, but also (less known) navigation, freshwater bunkering, wastewatertreatment systems and ballast tanks to pass low bridges. Scylla is continuously improving product offerings while crafting their vessels at the shipyards in Gemeente Hardinxveld-Giessendam. Both design and operation come with unique complexities. Recognising the significance of sustainability in today's world, Scylla would like you to think about new possibilities when it comes to sustainability on board! Interested in joining the challenge?
