Join Appleyard Lees' cycling and networking event on 30 May 2024. AL Velo meets annually to take part in a group ride, over a 20 mile route or 40 mile route, and network before, after and during the ride. The events offer the opportunity to meet business leaders from Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties. 3yI think - no, I know - that there is a lot of misconception around IP, and particularly when it comes to patents. This is all so visible when patents hit the headlines, as they have in recent months in relation to covid vaccines and treatments. Are patents bad? Why is the press mentioning them? Why are they important? Would we have vaccines without huge collaboration, massive drivers, and IP rights? As patents hit the mainstream media headlines, we took a look at some of the subtleties and positives that might be being missed...
