Yesterday, our headquarters served as the testing hub for EcoReFibre, a European research project addressing a key question: How can wood fibers at the end of their lifecycle be efficiently reprocessed to create new fiberboard?   Upon the invitation from our partner, Dieffenbacher, we conducted three exclusive material tests using our X-TRACT™ and AUTOSORT™ equipped with GAINnext™, showcasing practical applications of the research findings to the project members.   Our Wood Segment Director Jose Matas: "TOMRA was the first to introduce deep learning sorting technology for waste wood recycling to the market. Last week TOMRA Recycling took part at the grand opening of Cirrec, the new flagship recycling plant of Faerch Group in Duiven, the Netherlands. ♻ Our advanced technology, including 2 AUTOSORT™ Flake and 3 INNOSORT™ Flake, is integral to this plant’s operations, which is now tripling Faerch’s recycling capacity to 60,000 tonnes. The partnership between Faerch and TOMRA enables recycling of PET tray feedstock from post-consumer waste back into food-packaging, and we are proud to support their journey towards circularity.
