NCC has appointed Andreas Koch as new Head of Communications and member of the Senior Management Team. He joins NCC from a similar position at the Nordic care services company Attendo and will take up his new duties not later than in November 2024. “I look forward to working with Andreas Koch and am pleased to have recruited an experienced, committed Head of Communications. Good communication with all stakeholders is crucial if we are to successfully continue to develop NCC,” says Tomas Carlsson, President and CEO of NCC. Andreas Koch will replace Maria Grimberg who has, as previously announced, decided to leave NCC for other assignments.

NCC has been contracted by Jernhusen to construct a new train maintenance depot at Hagalund Depå in Solna, outside Stockholm. The project is a turnkey contract in partnering form with an order value of approximately SEK 920 million. Hagalund Depå has a history that stretches back to the early 1900s. Development of the depot has continued since then to meet the need for maintenance of more trains. In spring 2024, the next stage of the depot’s modernization will commence to meet current and future needs. “NCC is currently building depots in both Högdalen and Älvsjö south of Stockholm, and has also built a number of train depots across the country. We are now taking further steps to develop the rail infrastructure for not only Stockholm but for all of Sweden, which is exciting to be part of. The partnership with Jernhusen is a key factor for success because the existing depot and track area will continue to operate throughout the construction period,” said Niklas Sparw, Head of NCC Building Sweden. NCC has signed an agreement with Skebo to construct 219 rental apartments at Anderstorpsgården in Skellefteå. The project is a turnkey contract with an order value of approximately SEK 320 million. “Skellefteå is currently one of Sweden’s fastest growing cities and has a substantial need for new residential units. We have already completed several successful construction projects on behalf of Skebo. With these new rental apartments at Anderstorpsgården, NCC will continue to expand the range of housing available in the city,” says Niklas Sparw, Head of NCC Building Sweden. Inför årets asfaltssäsong har NCC och Trafikverket hittills tecknat 28 asfaltkontrakt där sänkningen av CO2e-utsläppen i asfaltproduktionen leds i bevis med miljövarudeklarationer, så kallade EPD-krav, vilket är fler än tidigare år. Men till nästa år borde kraven höjas. #nccab

För drygt ett år sedan inledde NCC, på uppdrag av Vakin (Vatten- och Avfallskompetens i Norr AB), utbyggnaden av Forslundas vattenverk för att säkerställa Umeås långsiktiga vattenförsörjning. När befolkningen succesivt ökat i Umeå behövde vattenverket moderniseras för att hantera den ökande belastningen. Genom att utöka kapaciteten och uppgradera infrastrukturen har NCC tillsammans med Vakin säkrat tillgången på rent vatten för generationer framöver. #nccab

Intensiva och innehållsrika dagar ramade in årets Business Arena på Sara Kulturhus i Skellefteå. NCC medverkade med fokus på hållbar samhällsutveckling och grön basindustri. Tillväxten i norra Sverige går en spännande framtid till mötes med den omvälvande teknik- och samhällsomvandling som just nu sker i flera norrländska städer. I våra panelsamtal fick Hans Andersson, avdelningschef på NCC Infrastructure, dela med sig av sina tankar kring det växande behovet av transportinfrastruktur och dess påverkan på samhällsutvecklingen i norra Sverige. Helena Hed ♦️ , affärsområdeschef för Green Industry Transformation, fick också tillfälle att diskutera den gröna industriomvandlingen i norra Sverige, med fokus på teknikskifte, infrastruktur, arbetskraftsbehov och näringslivssamarbete för att maximera möjligheterna och möta de kommande utmaningarna. Vi är tacksamma för alla samtal och möten med övriga aktörer där NCC med sin samlade kompetens bidrar till utvecklingen inom bostadsbyggande, infrastruktur och arbetsmarknad. #nccab

Maria Werner, miljöjurist på NCC och expert på hållbar materialförsörjning uppmärksammas flerfaldigt i dagarna. För en vecka sedan, på Sveriges Bergmaterialindustris branschdag, fick hon pris för ”Årets prestation”. NCC has been commissioned by the municipal company FællesBo to refurbish 210 apartments in the Mindeparken residential area in Herning, Denmark. The project is a turnkey contract, and the order value is approximately SEK 350 million. “Our excellent collaboration with FællesBo is now being expanded to include another project here in Herning. We are also cooperating on a project in the Porshøj area, where we are currently refurbishing 441 apartments. Good planning and project management are key to these two refurbishment projects, together with a team that has extensive experience of refurbishing public housing,” says Catarina Molén-Runnäs, Head of NCC Building Nordics.
