We've had a fantastic time attending UKREiiF over the last few days! Some of our highlights include Mayor of GM Andy Burnham, Mayor of Liverpool Steve Rotheram, Leader of Manchester City Council Cllr Bev Craig and Leader of Liverpool City Council, Councillor Liam Robinson announcing the launch of a new Liverpool-Manchester Railway Board. The board will lead the transformation of rail connectivity across the North, using a place-based approach to bring prosperity to both cities and connecting two investment zone city-regions. It was also fantastic that the Ashton Mayoral Development Zone in Tameside was launched as well as the announcement that Bolton will have a Mayoral Development Corporation, boosting plans like the Moor Lane and Crompton Place developments. In addition, our Head of Advanced Manufacturing and Low Carbon Rachel Eyre delivered two panels: 'Retrofit and Sustainability: Following the Golden Thread to Net Zero' and 'Unlocking a Sustainable Future for British Manufacturing'. Rachel Eyre said “Devolution is enabling us to do more. Last year, we signed a deal for post16 skills budget, giving us more control to work with industry to understand the skills gap and commission the right training.” Catch up on all of the action below 👇 https://lnkd.in/eEE8JE45 Manchester Invest Partnership Aviva Investors LandsecU+I Bruntwood Federated Hermes Peel L&P RENAKER Till Asset Management Greater Manchester Combined Authority Manchester City Council Bolton Council Bury Council Oldham Council Rochdale Borough Council Salford City Council Stockport Council Tameside Council Trafford Council Wigan Council #mcrUKREiiF #UKREiiF #UKREiiF2024 #GreaterManchester #Manchester
