About us

The Bioenergy Association of California (BAC) focuses on promoting sustainable bioenergy development, including renewable electricity and fuels made from organic waste. BAC promotes bioenergy through policy advocacy, communications, public education and outreach. Bioenergy reduces greenhouse gas emissions, increases instate energy and fuels supply, creates jobs and economic development, and helps protect public health and safety by reducing pollution, landfilling and wildfire risks. Bioenergy provides a continuous 24/7 form of renewable power, making it a valuable complement to solar and wind power. Transportation fuels made from organic waste are the lowest carbon transportation fuels in existence, lower carbon per mile than electric or fuel cell vehicles.
