📣 The Africa Dialogue Series 2024 #ADS2024 is back for its 2024 edition from 6-31 May! Under the overall theme “Education through Science, Technology, and Innovation toward the Africa We Want,” #ADS2024 will delve into the crucial intersection of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) with Africa's educational and sustainable development objectives in realizing the Africa We Want. #ADS2024 will explore 3 pivotal sub-themes, each addressing unique challenges and opportunities: 1⃣ Participants will dissect the linkages between education and labor market outcomes in Africa, particularly examining how STEM education can propel the continent into the economic sphere of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). 2⃣ We will delve into the potential of the digital revolution to unlock Africa's educational and training capabilities, alongside the pressing question of equitable financing. Emphasizing the critical role of innovative finance and the digital revolution in transforming education, ADS2024 will explore innovative funding models, digital infrastructure, and technology-driven approaches to enhance learning outcomes and expand educational opportunities across the continent. How can Africa rally enough resources to realize the education outcomes outlined in #SDG4, while ensuring robust technology infrastructure for all? 3⃣ Participants will dissect the urgent issue of education and training in crisis-affected areas. How do we ensure inclusive, high-quality education in dire circumstances? Here, we'll explore the role of STI in driving educational outcomes even amidst adversity. #ADS2024 is organized by the United Nations Office of the Special Adviser on Africa (OSAA) and the African Union Permanent Observer Mission to the United Nations (AUPOM) in partnership with International Labour Organization (ILO), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), UNESCO , UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency , UNICEF , and The World Bank Group (WB).
