Let it Flow… Help it Grow…H2O

Water is life. It’s crucial to hygiene and crucial to health. Yet, millions of people around the world still don’t have access to clean water or decent sanitation. Millions of people are denied this basic human right. WaterAid, our company charity, is trying to put this right – and our 2022 Winnovators team is going to do their bit to help them.

Let it flow… Help it grow… H2O is a bunch of eight passionate people determined to tackle head on the three challenges set up by WaterAid: raise a minimum of £5,000 for the charity, solve a real world water problem, and learn and develop in the process.

Good News :

Our Winnovators 2022 team has won the seed funding from Water Aid this year and now they need all our Southern Water and wider community help to raise as much money as possible for Water Aid and help out in this wonderful cause!

What’s in their plan?

The team has come up with lots of ideas to raise money – from a 160 miles’ walk in fancy dress - which they hope will bring the bulk of their target, to sports day, raffles and sweepstake, boot sales, roadshows and beach clean. And they’re planning to involve everyone – employees, suppliers and partners.

About the Winnovators programme

Winnovators is a global employee development programme run by WaterAid. Participants must form teams and use their knowledge and expertise to solve real-life challenges in countries where WaterAid is carrying out vital work. Each team is presented with three challenges in support of WaterAid’s country programme, which for 2022 are in India:

Solve: design a solution to a real world problem set by WaterAid

Fund: run a fundraising campaign and raise a minimum of £5,000

Learn: record your learning and development
