Hi I'm charlotte and im a Ambassador of The Huntington's Disease Association we supports anyone who is affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. They pursue the best possible care; provide training & advice to families and professionals; raise awareness, and promote research towards better treatment and care.

This disease isn't made aware enough, and I like to give everybody of a insight of my daily life I suffer with HD i have good moods, bad moods, snapping, violent episodes, memory loss, twitching,involuntary movement,swallowing is all a issue this will all gradually get worse over time and gradually lead to palative care. 9 weeks ago i ended up self stabbing my self which leaded in to being put into a coma 3 operations later they manged to save 1/4 of my bowl and im very lucky i dont have a stoma, this is a serious accident and made me realsie how serious and what this disease entails. HD has always been involved in my life from my grandfather to uncles to aunties, never knowing my father had it luckily for my father he dosent suffer but mentally it has a impact on him, and will get worse over time.

This accident i had has made look at life and everything different its made me fight and raise awareness is what I'm wanting to do and to help and support others who suffer from this genetic disease ,there isn't a cure there is medication for depression and other problems also physiotherapy for when stages get to the end of life but no cure so all the donations are to make people with HD enjoy the same life as other and make memories and pay for care.

Ive achieved a 29 mile chairty walk and also held a chairty night with the help of everybody at The Blue Bell Egremont and the public for there donations and raffle prizes.
