Briefing 2021

Initial situation

Covid-19 has changed our entire working world in one fell swoop. Spending the working day in a home office has become a new standard for many and collaboration via virtual tools has also achieved an absolute breakthrough. What would have been unthinkable a year ago is now reality. Moreover, we can assume that this trend will continue in many areas after the Covid 19 crisis and will also encompass industry segments from whose doors digitalisation has stopped in the past.

Of course, we humans also want to finally meet in person again! At the same time, this exceptional time has also shown us very vividly what enormous advantages well-designed virtual working concepts bring with them. In the long term, we will not want to be deprived of these. Who wants to take a time-consuming long business trip when they know that most of the work can be done with a simple click in a virtual room and who wants to make the trip to the office every day when they know that a lot can also be done online?

From now on, the door is definitely open for the further virtualisation of our working world and this is exactly where we want to start with our briefing topic.

The Task

We are looking for creative makers who are keen to work with us on forward-looking concepts and proof-of-concepts that impressively demonstrate how the working world of tomorrow can be revolutionised with VR technology.

We ask ourselves the question, how ...

  • the virtual employee training of the future looks like.

  • how highly complex, urgent work processes can be implemented without the necessary expert being on site (e.g. in the case of an emergency surgery or similar).

  • how new products and solutions can be developed and produced collaboratively in virtual space by interdisciplinary teams from anywhere in the world.

  • how machines or even entire buildings and factories can be managed virtually.

  • how the well-being, health and life-work balance of employees can be increased in everyday life with the help of VR technology.

  • etc.

Perspectives

In the course of the 6-month IMM co-creation process, we will support you with our industry and technology know-how and make our entire Omnicept VR technology available to you in the course of the development. The technology consists of hardware, software and brings with it the enormous advantage that all data can be stored directly in the glasses (= GDPR compliant).

Ideally, we will be able to develop such an exciting proof-of-concept this year that we can then actually put it into practice together.
