Why become a Step2Skills provider?

Providers receive funding, ongoing monitoring and support from our team to help them grow and improve the delivery of training.

We want providers to build strong networks with other learning organisations and help improve their understanding of what the learning needs are for people living in Hertfordshire.

In order to ensure high quality provision, we offer training opportunities for our providers to improve staff skills and meet government priorities.

How to apply for funding

If you are interested in working with us you will need to register yourselves with Supply Hertfordshire.

Important things to remember when registering

In order to receive email alerts when categories are being advertised, ensure you specify which business categories your organisation cover and tick that you are interested in Adult Learning funding opportunities.

Once you've registered, you will receive an email each time we go out to tender.

When applying for funding, you'll also need to complete a pre-qualifying questionnaire (PQQ) and a tender document.  Tender documents are marked and a final decision is made as to who receives funding.

How do we receive our funding?

Hertfordshire County Council receives annual funding from the Education and Skills Funding Agency. This funding is used to deliver Community Learning and Adult Skills Budget Provision in Hertfordshire. The Step2Skills Supply Chain Fees and Charges Policy 2022-23 (PDF 279kb) Opening a new window will provide you with more information on financial costs.
