Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust provides children’s services across North Yorkshire as well as in County Durham, Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Sunderland and Gateshead.

School Age Immunisation Service

From Friday 1 September 2023 Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust will no longer be providing the School Age Immunisation Service for children and young people of school age living in North Yorkshire, York, Darlington, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Redcar, Hartlepool and County Durham.

Specialist Children’s Services

Specialist Children's Services are for children and young people, 0-19 years of age, with physical, communication, learning and developmental difficulties or disabilities which affect health, development and wellbeing.

COVID-19 vaccinations for 12-15 year olds

Children aged 12-15 are now being offered the opportunity to have a first and second dose of the COVID-19 vaccination which should help to reduce the risk of complications, reduce time out of education, and reduce the spread of COVID-19 within schools.

Growing Healthy Sunderland

Growing Healthy Sunderland provides 0-19 services for children, young people and families in Sunderland.

Growing Healthy Stockton-on-Tees

Growing Healthy Stockton-on-Tees is a universal service where the needs and voice of children, young people and families are the core of the service. The 0-19 services is provided across Stockton-on-Tees.

Growing Healthy Gateshead

The Growing Healthy Gateshead 0-19 service is an integrated service for families, expectant mothers, children and young people that offers interventions from the pre-natal stage up to the age of 19.

A range of health professionals who aim to work in partnership with children, young people and their families to promote their health and wellbeing.

Growing Healthy North Yorkshire – Healthy Child Team

The Healthy Child Team promotes and protects the health and wellbeing of all children and young people aged 0 to 19. We work with children, young people and families to empower and enable them to make informed decisions about health, and to support them in transitioning safely and happily into adult life.

Paediatric Outpatients Department

Our dedicated Children’s Outpatient Service caters for children from birth to 16 years of age. The Paediatric Outpatients Department is run by a combination of consultants, paediatricians and specialist nurses.

Safeguarding and Looked after Children

Unfortunately, children are occasionally put at risk, or even hurt or harmed. The Trust takes its responsibility to safeguard all children very seriously. Our specialist Safeguarding Children Team provides training, support and advice to equip all staff to quickly recognise safeguarding concerns and take action to address them.

Youth Communication Team

The Speech and Language Therapy Youth Communication Team has been running since November 2013 and is funded by North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC) until March 2020.
