This statement explains how extending the current submission deadlines for transitional registrations is consistent with Article 1 of the UK REACH Regulation.

It explains how the proposed changes are consistent with the UK REACH aims of ensuring:

  • a high level of protection of human health and the environment
  • the free circulation of chemical substances

The government has published a consultation on extending the UK REACH submission deadlines.
