During the summer of 2019/20, the nation stopped as RFS volunteers worked to protect their communities in the midst of one of the most catastrophic fire seasons ever. As they did, the community rallied to support them.

While for so many those fires are now just a memory, RFS volunteers have continued to do what they always do – go out to protect their communities.

Every fire season, we’ll be there for volunteers with support including:

• Additional refreshments and coffee vans at staging locations
• Hygiene packs for tanker crews
• Clean t-shirts, and care packs after long hours fighting fires
• Chaplaincy and welfare support for those who’ve been injured or lost homes, farms and livestock.

But the work of RFS volunteers doesn't stop at the end of the fire season, and nor does our support for what they do. From conducting hazard reduction burns, to responding to motor vehicle accidents and supporting flood operations, volunteer firefighters will always step up when it counts. Which is why we’re asking for your support, so we can be there when they need it most.

Any donation, no matter how small, helps us assist these ordinary Australians who do extraordinary things for their communities.
