Walking

FlyOver Iceland is easily accessible by foot from most places in downtown Reykjavík. Make your way towards our location in the Grandi neighbourhood by walking via the Old Harbour area just west of the city centre. The main road is called Geirsgata and from this street you will find a walking path that takes you along the harbour and into the Grandi area. Once you have reached Grandagarður, the street behind the Maritime Museum, you are in Grandi. Turn left on Grandagarður and walk along a row of shops and cafes until you reach Grunnslóð. Take a left on this short street and you will come to Fiskislóð facing Whales of Iceland. FlyOver Iceland is located just behind in a landmark building that is hard to miss.

Public Transit

The number 14 Grandi line services the Grandi neighbourhood and can be caught from the main bus station Hlemmur (at the top of Laugarvegur main street) and services many stops in the downtown area. We encourage you to plan your route using the local bus website: www.straeto.is

Coming from the seaside highway, Sæbraut (Route 41), drive west until this it changes into the street Geirsgata (Route 41) (that passes Harpa Concert Hall). This street changes name to Mýragata and ends in a large roundabout. Take the 2nd exit onto Fiskislóð street and in approximately 100m you will see on the left side of the street the Whales of Iceland Museum. Turn left here and FlyOver Iceland is located steps away at Fiskislóð 43. There is complimentary parking on site. You’ll see signs directing you to the entrance of FlyOver Iceland.

Planning on exploring more of Reykjavík? The famous red ​Hop On Hop Off​ bus stops just across the street from FlyOver Iceland at our friends the Whales of Iceland, less than a two minute walk from our site.

Coming from a tour? Iceland has many companies that offer city sightseeing tours by bus. The Grandi area is included in most tours and the stop for Flyover Iceland is located just 20 metres away. Just ask the driver to inform you when you have reached our location. (Same stop as Whales of Iceland Museum).

Are you travelling on a cruise to or from Reykjavík? Great! FlyOver Iceland is a great stop for a short port stay and conveniently located in the vibrant Grandi area, a 7-minute drive from the main cruise ship terminal.
