Though you may not know [Peach Tree Rascals](https://www.instagram.com/peachtreerascal/?hl=en) yet, their newest single “Mariposa” is sure to have you fluttering all day. The mellow, yet nostalgic bop—reminiscent of fellow indie artists Cuco and Rex Orange County_—_is well matched by its visual kaleidoscope of cotton candy and baby blue. The five-piece band is comprised of Bay Area high school friends producer/mixer Dominic "Dom" Pizano, rappers-singers Issac Pech, Tarrek Khaliq, Joseph Barros, and creative director Jorge Olazaba. The group has released nine singles to date, accumulating over 10 million streams since 2018. “Mariposa” is another brainchild of the remarkably self-sufficient group, with visuals attributed to Olazaba and mixing to Pizano. This song, however, holds more sentimental value to the group, as it was written in honor of their favorite spot in Yosemite: Mariposa Grove. “‘Mariposa’ literally means butterfly, and represents improving and growing as a human. Butterflies grow into themselves and their beauty, regardless of any flaws that come up along the way,” the group agrees. “Yosemite plays a big role in our creative muse. We often do trips up there to write and think of video concepts. The name originally came from Mariposa Grove in Yosemite. Seemed like a no brainer to name the song after one of our favorite places on the planet.” _Flaunt_ is pleased to premiere the young up-and-coming group’s latest video.
