Multi Agency Prevent Champions Event

Thank you for registering your interest. This multi agency event is for those who work within the Prevent agenda across York and North Yorkshire . There are a number of key speakers through out the day touching on interesting topics, such as INCEL, to ensure that you as a professional is equipped to effectively undertake this role within your organisation in a confident manner.

• What is a Prevent Champion: A Prevent Champion is someone working for the police or one of the partner agencies who will receive enhanced Prevent awareness training, alongside training around key threats and vulnerabilities from terrorism and extremism within North Yorkshire Police force area. They are able to act as a conduit between local policing, local communities and Counter Terrorism Case Officers (CTCO’s - otherwise known as Prevent Officers).
