About this event

Following the UK’s exit from the EU, the UK Government has allocated a number of UK internal market functions to the Competition and Markets Authority. These functions, which will be taken forward under a new unit in the CMA, the Office for the Internal Market (OIM), will help governments to understand how effectively companies are able to sell their products and services across the four nations of the UK and are intended to help avoid the creation of trade barriers within UK that could have harmful economic effects. In advance of commencing its work, OIM is consulting on draft guidance about how it will exercise these functions.

In this consultation roundtable, we will explain more about the work OIM will do and outline how businesses can play a part in this, sharing details about an online tool which will be a route for businesses to tell us about their experiences selling products and services across the nations of the UK.

We want to hear your views on our plans - this is an opportunity to influence how the OIM will monitor and advise on the regulatory landscape that impacts the effectiveness of the internal market.

Please note that this event will take place on Microsoft teams.
