Covid-19 testing for BU students

As requested by the Government, BU will be offering Covid-19 testing for all students who don’t have symptoms of Covid-19.

Testing is only available to BU students – we will check your student ID on arrival at the test centre.

Please attend two test dates three to five days apart. Please be advised that there may be a wait when you arrive at the test centre.

The test is self-administered, but a member of staff will be there to guide you through the process. Please wear a face covering and maintain physical distancing when at the test centre.

Please do not attend the test centre or visit campus if you are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19.

A negative test result provides information about the level of the virus at one point in time. LFD tests can sometimes produce false negative results. They may also produce a negative result if someone is infected with Covid-19 but has not yet developed a high enough level of the virus for the test to register it. Whilst it is impossible to eliminate this risk entirely, taking the second LFD test offered to you helps to reduce the possibility of a false negative result. The data you are providing to make this appointment will not be used for any purpose other than making and managing your appointment and communicating with you about it.
