4. Role and Responsibilities of the Lead Worker (3 hours)

This specialist course builds directly on the Jersey’s Children First Essentials course to examine the role and responsibilities of the Lead Worker and the members of the Team around the Child in creating, monitoring and reviewing the Child and Family plan.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

1. explain the shared responsibilities of all members of the Team around the Child including the Lead Worker
2. explain the role, main tasks and skills of the Lead Worker
3. identify what to do when there is a change in Lead Worker
4. apply your learning to chair a planning meeting with confidence
5. demonstrate how to monitor and review the Child and Family Plan
