2. Jersey’s Children First Essentials (2 x 2.5 hours evening sessions)

This course outlines the process of supporting children and young people from the emergence of need through the complexities of engagement to carrying out a Child and Family Assessment (Early Help).

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  1. state the importance of having Jersey’s Children First shared values, principles and language;
  2. analyse the complex process of transition to engagement children and families experience
  3. name our shared qualities and explain what they look like in practice
  4. use the Five Questions and the Wellbeing Indicators to understand when and how to provide support for a child/young person and family
  5. use the shared templates and tools to complete Child and Family Assessments

This twilight course will take place at Peter Crill House, Jersey Hospital in 2 x 2.5 hour sessions:
