2. Jersey’s Children First Essentials (2 x 2.5 hours evening sessions)
This course outlines the process of supporting children and young people from the emergence of need through the complexities of engagement to carrying out a Child and Family Assessment (Early Help).
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
- state the importance of having Jersey’s Children First shared values, principles and language;
- analyse the complex process of transition to engagement children and families experience
- name our shared qualities and explain what they look like in practice
- use the Five Questions and the Wellbeing Indicators to understand when and how to provide support for a child/young person and family
- use the shared templates and tools to complete Child and Family Assessments
