About this event
Dear Plymouth Educational Leader Colleagues,
Following the heightened levels of anxiety surrounding the Omicron variant of COVID over the weekend, discussion with a number of Headteachers, and the ongoing issues in a number of our schools with staff absence, we have taken the difficult and disappointing decision to move the leadership conference this Wednesday online. We have reduced the now virtual conference in length to one hour with the new agenda as follows:
Plymouth Leadership Conference, 1 December, 9.30am – 10.30am
Welcome
Keynote – Baroness Barran MBE
Questions to the Minister
Practical Leadership – Will Smith
Access free Plymouth Leadership Programme
Leadership Secondment Opportunities
Our Future
We are delighted that the parliamentary under-secretary of state, Minister for the school system, Baroness Barran MBE, will be delivering a short keynote and answering questions during the virtual event. Whilst disappointing not to have the full range of speakers, and to be meeting in person to launch our community, we are sure that we will be able to inspire you with some key messages, ideas and access to the new, free, Plymouth Leadership Community.
The details for joining the virtual event are below. Please note there is a very short registration process if you have not used Crowdcast before.

Please note if you have colleagues on your leadership team who would also like to join the meeting but have not previously registered, please ask them to use this same link. Alternatively you may like to come together with your team in one venue.
If anyone has questions that they would like to pose to the minister then please could you email Nicola Borrow in advance with your name, school and question by 9am tomorrow. There is a limited time for questions so we will confirm with you before the event if we are to include your question.
We look forward to seeing you virtually on Wednesday. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Nicola on nborrow@greenshawlearningtrust.co.uk.
Our very best wishes,
Tony Bloxham, Head of Implementation, Plymouth Place-Based Strategy
Will Smith, CEO, Greenshaw Learning Trust
