Mini Sing-It! is part of our vocal provision designed to support singing and encourage vocal engagement across the school. This workshop is for KS1 and offers a fun day of singing for beginner singers, finishing with a short concert for parents and carers.
Find out what happened at a recent Mini Sing-It! at Boxted St Peter’s Primary School
Barbara Cutter, one of our vocal specialists, led the workshop and with the assistance of puppets and various props, she initially engaged the children with fun, action- packed warm-ups. The children then had the opportunity to learn songs about monsters and frogs and added their own extra verses with actions.
“After lunch the classes combined and shared what they had been singing so that the younger children could take part in the choruses and learn actions. Songs were then performed to the whole school at the end of the day.” Barbara Cutter.
