The line re-opens today on our Intercity and Connect routes

What has happened?

Urgent repairs took place at Braybrooke near Market Harborough. This is between Kettering and Leicester and was affecting our trains on the Intercity and Connect routes.

The line has now re-opened following the repairs taking place.

There is a speed restriction in place to test the track and ensure the safety of all passengers so please expect possible delays of up to 15 minutes.

Our normal timetable can now resume and journey planners have been updated.

How does this affect my train?

Trains in both directions can run normally on both our Intercity and Connect routes. There may be delays of up to 15 minutes so please allow extra time to travel if necessary.

All online journey planners are up to date and we still advise you to check your journey before you travel here: https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

How do I get where I need to be?

You should continue to travel as originally planned. Your journey may be delayed by up to 15 minutes. We are sorry for the delay to your journey today.

If you were caught up in the disruption between the 2nd to the 8th of November, please remember:

If your overall journey was delayed over 15 minutes you may be entitled to claim compensation, full details of how to claim can be found here: eastmidlandsrailway.co.uk/delay
