OLIVER HOLT: It is starting to feel as if Chelsea's hot-shot new owners are addicted to chaos. They must like it. They must feel comfortable with it. Maybe they have some sort of predilection for looking stupid. Maybe they take a perverse pride in taking the opposite view to everyone else. That, after all, has been their schtick since Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali took over the club two years ago. They know better than the fuddy-duddy traditional owners of English football who have not leveraged nearly enough profit out of the bloated cash-cow that is the Premier League and they are going to show us how it's all done. So we should not be surprised that just as Mauricio Pochettino was finally beginning to make sense of the anarchy of the billion pound supermarket sweep of player purchases Boehly and Eghbali had inflicted on the club, it should be decided that now was the right time to let him walk away.

Yet again, the smell of smoke has drifted out of the Stamford Bridge boardroom. For the fifth time in just two years, Chelsea's owners have chosen to pull the trigger on another manager. Pochettino's (inset) arrival was heralded as the start of a long-term project, an operation that would require patience with one of the youngest squads in the Premier League. But just a year in, Pochettino has disappeared into the sunset after a firm handshake. The search for his successor is already underway and the club are said to be leaning toward a younger coach. Kieran McKenna (left), an up-and-coming Bundesliga boss (second from left) and Michel (right) are likely to be among the contenders. Phillies star Bryce Harper made a surprise appearance at a recent promposal - leaving one fan stunned in the process. Harper was captured on video walking up to a doorstep with a high schooler named Jake, before his hopeful date walked outside to see the MLB player in front of her. Harper exclaims 'Hi Julia!' to the girl before she immediately says back, 'I'm gonna cry.'

Houston Texans receiver Tank Dell is back in practice with the team less than a month after being shot outside a Florida nightclub. Dell, 24, was one of 10 people wounded when a 16-year-old gunman opened fire at a packed Cabana Live in Sanford on April 27. Reports claimed the NFL star was not involved in the altercation that led to the shooting and had merely been 'caught in the cross-fire', before being taken to hospital that evening.

Travis Kelce is a loyal Uncrustables fan. The Chiefs tight end, known for 'pounding' the pre-made frozen sandwiches before NFL games, was seen chowing down on the snack at his music festival, Kelce Jam. The 34-year-old, who rocked a graphic tee and blue bucket hat, was photographed tucking into a crust-less sandwich before jumping on stage at the rowdy event Saturday. 

Texans quarterback CJ Stroud is helping Houston in its hour of need after a series of deadly storms ripped through the city last week. Seven people have been killed after hurricane-forced winds - some as high as 100mph - severe storms and rains destroyed Houston, with over one million people also left without power as a result. Thousands of workers have been trying to restore power and cleaning up the city in the wake of the devastating storms - including Stroud.

Despite beating Brighton 2-0 at the Amex on the final day of the campaign, United (pictured) finished in a lowly eighth and may have missed out on European football altogether. Erik ten Hag finds himself under major pressure and two of his big earners have been recognised among the league's worst performers in light of his side's woes. IAN HERBERT: Even as Mikel Arteta was interviewed on the Emirates pitch, moments after the season's end on Sunday, there was evidence of the ego which makes him the winner of very few popularity contests. He became the director and curator of that moment, taking over the microphone to relate to supporters that his way had been the right way all along, even if it had taken them time to appreciate that. 'You started to believe,' he told them. 'You started to understand what we had to do.' Arteta has driven through unpopular changes at Arsenal - the marginalising of Aaron Ramsdale; the sacking of Steve Bould, shown the door after 33 years' service; the ushering of older players to that same exit without compunction. This is Arteta - extremely confident in his own ability and austere to the point of unpleasantness at times. Behind the sparkling eyes, the crew neck and the perfect hair, there's an arrogance, and unlike Pep Guardiola, he doesn't seem to care who sees it.

In a heartwarming video posted on social media, one lucky girlfriend's partner was seen stooping to his knee and opening a white box containing the ring. The couple then exchanged a touching kiss before the ring was placed on her finger. Several supporters sat around them initially appeared stunned by the moment but quickly offered their congratulations as the grinning man received pats on the back. He and his fiancee then appeared to pose for a picture to capture the moment. The sweet gesture looked to have taken place in the main stand at the ground on an occasion that saw a capacity crowd flock to pay tribute to the departing Klopp.

Ryan Garcia has left fans bewildered once again after sharing a bizarre video of himself singing to an orangutan in the passenger seat of his car. Garcia, who won his highly-anticipated grudge match with Devin Haney last month, raised concerns in the lead-up to that bout with a series of disturbing rants on social media. In the end he rubbished fears for his wellbeing after dropping Haney three times on his way to a points victory, only for it to later emerge that he failed drug tests the day of and the day after the fight.

Transgender golfer Hailey Davidson clinched a first alternate spot for the US Women's Open, sparking backlash from a female professional.  Davidson, 30, narrowly missed out on automatically qualifying for the Women's US Open by one stroke earlier this month but still has a chance to compete at the major championship after securing the place of first alternate. Should enough players withdraw, Davidson will fill a spot at the 2024 US Women's Open, which will be played at the Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania from May 30 to June 2. One of the 55 female golfers who competed in the qualifier in Florida claimed the decision to allow Davidson to compete in qualifying and potentially have a shot at the US Open was unjust.

Rory McIlroy and wife Erica Stoll's divorce did not come as a shock to some within their inner circle. McIlroy, 35, filed to end his marriage to Stoll, 36, on May 13 after seven years of marriage. The news of the split came as a surprise with the bombshell filing coming just three days before the PGA Championship, the second major of the year, and fresh off his latest victory at the Wells Fargo Championship last weekend. However, their marriage reportedly had hit 'breaking point' over a point of contention.

Patrick Mahomes has returned to the Chiefs' headquarters for OTAs - and is once again being ribbed by fans for his self-proclaimed 'dad bod.' Mahomes, who won his third Super Bowl with the Chiefs in February, insisted to TIME last month that his 'dad bod' was 'great' for an NFL quarterback. Nonetheless, the 28-year-old was the butt of some jokes from Chiefs fans on Tuesday as he arrived at the team's facility.

Travis Kelce has opened the door to playing beyond his two-year Kansas City Chiefs extension by saying he wants to eventually retire with six Super Bowl rings. Kelce, 34, agreed a two-year Chiefs contract worth $34.25million at the end of April, a reward for another stunning season in Kansas City that ended with a second straight Super Bowl victory. But midway through last season, in an interview with Wall Street Journal as his fame spiraled through his relationship with Taylor Swift, Kelce admitted he often thinks about retiring due to the physical toll of the game on his body.
