CIS Controls Accredited Organization Code of Conduct

 

As a CIS Controls Accredited Organization, an entity must abide by the following Code of Conduct, in both spirit and intent. Failure to abide by this Code of Conduct may result in loss of accreditation.

  1. Honesty – The CIS Controls Accredited Organization will adhere to the principle of honesty. It will ensure that its actions are not, either by intent or unintended consequences, deceptive toward anyone. It will be especially diligent to ensure honest dealings with customers and vendors, and ensure that any reporting requirements are accurate.
  2. Integrity - The CIS Controls Accredited Organization will not only abide by all applicable laws and regulations, including government contracting requirements, but will also strive to serve its customers and clients with integrity. It will avoid any actions that would take advantage of human shortcomings and will act above-board in all transactions.
  3. Fairness - The CIS Controls Accredited Organization will treat all employees and business associates with fairness, dignity, and respect.
  4. Self-Regulation - The CIS Controls Accredited Organization will regulate itself to ensure that it lives up to this Code of Conduct. Any concerns regarding the CIS Controls Accredited Organization’s inability or failure to abode by this Code of Conduct should be reported to CIS immediately.
