Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) spoke to reporters after his conference’s leadership election following the 2018 midterm election. He was joined by the other Senate Republican leaders, all of whom had ascended in the ranks when Majority Whip John Cornyn (R-TX) stepped down from his number two post due to the caucus’s term-limit rules. Following the introduction of the party’s updated leadership, Leader McConnell took a few questions from reporters about the Senate’s lame duck agenda for the remainder of the 115th Congress. close
