There are four swimming pools nestled within the palm-studded grounds, including one that’s heated during the winter months. All pools are situated between the lagoon and golf courses, and they are furnished with sun loungers and umbrellas. The soft powdery sands of the beach are nearby, dotted with classic palapa-style umbrellas. You can enjoy complimentary beachside service here and head to the boathouse to take part in a plethora of complimentary water sports – including kayaking, snorkelling, water skiing, windsurfing and glass bottom boat trips over the coral reef. There’s also a scuba diving centre which offers an array of courses for an additional charge, and a kite surfing school lies adjacent to the boat house. 

The Links and Legend 18-hole championship golf courses have hosted the annual MCB Tour Championship. Both courses feature a driving range, restaurant, bar, pro-shop and changing rooms. Although the Legend course is designed for more experienced golfers, it’s home to a practise fairway and golf academy. In comparison, the wider Links course is more suitable for beginners. Green fees are complimentary and a free shuttle service runs to the golf courses. You can also pick up tips from the weekly complimentary golf initiation group lesson.

Further sports facilities include four floodlit tennis courts, a well-equipped fitness centre and a nine-hole mini-golf course. You can also play volleyball, table tennis and French bowling, or participate in various complimentary exercise classes, such as yoga, Pilates or aqua gym. If you’re looking to explore the surrounding area, rent a mountain bike or book a bike tour for a supplementary charge.

Quietly tucked away, the Constance Spa is a citadel of serenity. It houses a private relaxation garden and several treatment rooms, where you can enjoy massages, facials and body treatments. The signature massage uses natural ingredients from the island of Mauritius, and even children between the ages of 6 and 16 years can experience special spa treatments, if accompanied by an adult. Spa facilities include a sauna, steam room, plunge pool and two whirlpools, in addition to a beauty salon which provides hair and nail services.

Children from the age of 4 to 11 years are invited to the Constance Kids Club for engaging activities led by trained professionals, arts and craft courses, cooking lessons, scavenger hunts and interactive games. The outdoor space features a splash pool and playground, and younger children can enjoy the imagination space, outfitted with playhouses, kitchenettes and tool workshops. Babysitting service is available on request, subject to supplementary charges. 

Dining information

You’ll find several exceptional restaurants at the resort. La Citronelle offers high-quality, buffet-style dining with live cooking stations and international dishes to suit every palate. You can dine al fresco here, overlooking the beach and pool area. On the beach, you’ll find the stylish Indigo restaurant, which offers European-Asian fusion fare, such as fresh sushi and traditional woodfired pizzas. There’s also the casual LAKAZE, which promotes a barefoot dining concept, serving seafood and meat straight from the grill here. You can also feast on sweet treats here in the afternoon. For innovative Asian inspired dishes head to Blu Sushi Lounge, and savour an impressive selection of sake and Japanese whisky alongside your meal.  

For a more romantic experience, head to La Spiaggia, a gourmet restaurant situated along the beachside. Your meal will begin with a sparkling champagne from the trolley, followed by a fine selection of Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Alternatively, the exclusive Blue Penny Cellar specialises in innovative cuisine and extraordinary wines, in a fabulous wine cellar setting. The aptly named Deer Hunter restaurant lies in the club house of the Legend golf course, overlooking the green expanses where Java deer wander. The menu showcases traditional Indian Ocean cuisine, including signature venison dishes. Meanwhile, Le Swing is located in the club house on the Links golf course, providing a lunchtime selection of snacks and light bites.

You can order a drink from one of the six on-site bars. Lounge on a floating sunlounger with a cocktail in hand or sample one of the 200 bottles of rum at The Bar. Blu Bar offers healthy juices, homemade iced tea, signature tiki cocktails and a barista corner for coffee lovers. There’s also a bar at each of the golf courses, a sunken pool bar and the restaurant bar, La Spiaggia, which is ideal for sunset aperitifs.

Evening meals for half board and full board plans are taken in La Citronelle (buffet style) or The Deer Hunter (set menu). You should make dinner reservations for all a la carte restaurants to avoid disappointment. Private functions and special events can be arranged upon request, for a supplement charge.

The dress code is ‘resort chic’ in all restaurants and bars. During the day, shorts, tee shirts or polo shirts with footwear are permitted, but swimwear should remain covered. In the evening, men should wear long trousers and closed shoes. On special evenings at Indigo and LAKAZE restaurants, men should wear trousers or tailored shorts, collared shirts and closed shoes.
