Samuel H. Kress Foundation Award for International Exchange
Thanks to the generosity of the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, the Art Libraries Society of North America offers a program to help fund international travel and promote the exchange of ideas and information among art librarians. Exceptional art information professionals will receive awards beginning at the amount of $1,000* USD to attend conferences, thereby fostering communication and developing connections with international projects and initiatives.
There are two categories of awards:
- For European librarians and art information professionals to attend the annual conference of the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA). The 52nd annual Art Libraries Society of North America conference will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from April 2-5, 2024.
- For ARLIS/NA members to attend a European art library conference.
*The Samuel H. Kress International Travel Awards Committee may take into consideration levels of need, participation, and travel costs before determining the final amount, but each award will begin with the $1,000 USD amount.
The deadline for applications is April 30, 2024.
