Training taster session
Our Trainee Talks webinar gives a great insight to teaching and the chance to hear from one of our trainees.
Our Training taster session will be running on Wednesday 24th April at 2pm – 3pm.
Whether you’re ready to submit your application or need to learn more first, this live taster session gives you a sneak peek into our training.
You’ll be guided by our expert tutor Kathryn, who will teach you how to give your pupils effective instructions in the classroom. We’ll show you how to make your instructions clear and show you some examples. You’ll even get chance to practise so if you can find a quiet space to listen and get involved, you’ll get the most out of the session!
We’ll also talk you through the programme, funding and eligibility AND most importantly you’ll hear from trainee Tomas and get the chance to have your questions answered!
The session will include:
- A taster training session – learn how and why to switch tone in the classroom and be guided by our expert tutor Kathryn
- Hear from a current trainee – Learn what a typical week looks like as trainee in an Ark school and have time to ask trainee Kate any questions you may have
- What is the Ark Teacher Training programme? –Find out more about what our ‘Outstanding’ programme consists of and how you’ll be supported throughout.
- Q&A – A chance for you to ask any questions you may have to our trainee, tutors or recruitment team

Our Trainee Talks webinar gives a great insight to teaching and the chance to hear from one of our trainees.
Our next ‘Introduction to Teaching’ webinar will be running on Monday 6th May at 4pm – 5pm.
Whether you’re ready to submit your application or need to learn more first, our live session allows you to learn more about funding, eligibility and the programme and most importantly you’ll hear from our trainee Tomas and get the chance to have your questions answered!
The session will include:
- Hear from a current Trainee– Learn what a typical week looks like as trainee in an Ark school and hear about how they’re getting on so far.
- What is the Ark Teacher Training programme? –Find out more about what our ‘Outstanding’ programme consists of and how you’ll be supported throughout.
- Eligibility and funding – Learn about our eligilbity criteria and find out more about our funding
- Q&A – A chance for you to ask any questions you may have about starting your teaching career.
School experience days
We’d love to show you our schools. If you are thinking about teaching, why not join our school experience days to learn more!
We are running school experience days in our schools which will include:
- a tour of school and routines
- an insight session into our programme
- lesson observations
- meeting the students
- a day to have your questions answered
